SARGA.CO – The crowd roared at Gelanggang Pacuan Kuda Legok Jawa on Sunday, August 24, 2025, as Raja Dewi, the powerful runner from West Java’s Aragon Stable, sealed victory in nearly perfect fashion. Competing in Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Merdeka Cup 2025, Raja Dewi dominated the 3-Year-Old KPI Class – 1,200 Meters, outpacing strong challengers from East Java and Jakarta to claim the Le Minerale Cup along with a prize purse of Rp30 million.
This race was one of the most thrilling highlights of the IHR Merdeka Cup 2025. Designed exclusively for 3-year-old Indonesian Thoroughbreds (KPI), the event became a stage for the nation’s finest young bloodlines to shine.
From the moment the starting flag dropped, Raja Dewi—breaking from Gate 3—immediately stamped authority on the race. Within seconds, she surged to the lead, leaving behind contenders such as Elgawira and Surya Danasty.
The real challenge came late, as Burrito Libre d.h Cempaka Jatim, the pride of East Java’s Bintang Madura Stable, mounted a fierce charge in the final 400 meters. Closing the gap stride by stride, Burrito Libre pushed the tension sky-high approaching the finish line.
But Raja Dewi held her ground. Representing the host province, she maintained her rhythm—stride after powerful stride—before storming past the finish line first, to an eruption of cheers from the West Java faithful.

With only five horses in the lineup, the class still delivered an edge-of-your-seat contest. Runners from West Java, East Java, and Jakarta battled fiercely down the 1,200-meter stretch, making the KPI division one of the most memorable races of the 2025 Merdeka Cup.
