SARGA.CO – War Kudeta, a horse from King Halim Stable, once again proved its dominance by taking victory at the Indonesia's Horse Racing (IHR) Merdeka Cup 2025.
The race, organized by PP PORDASI and SARGA.CO, was held at the Legok Jawa Horse Racing Arena, Pangandaran, West Java, on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Competing in the Open Sprint Class over a distance of 1,300 meters for the Sarga.Co Cup with a total prize of Rp60 million, War Kudeta—who did not lead early—was able to surge from behind in the final stretch, leaving five other horses from West Java and Jakarta behind.
Aside from War Kudeta in gate 3, the other contenders were Queen Zedan (gate 6), Romeo Berjaya (gate 2), Lea Chintya (gate 4), Alward (gate 1), and Blaze Kobar in gate 5.
The race in one of the main classes of the IHR Merdeka Cup 2025 unfolded with great intensity and tension right from the start. The suspense began when horses already in their positions had to wait again after Queen Zedan briefly broke out of the starting gate.
With professionalism, the track team managed to guide Queen Zedan back into the gate.
Once the green flag waved and the bell rang, the race began. Leading the front pack from the start were Blaze Kobar, Alward, and Queen Zedan.
Following in the second pack were War Kudeta and Romeo Berjaya, positioned sixth.
Dominating from the beginning, Blaze Kobar, a stallion standing 161 cm tall, continued to lead until just 400 meters before the finish line. But the real surprise came in the final stretch.
In a dramatic turn, War Kudeta—who had not led earlier—exploded forward with speed and strength.
Taking advantage of the outer track, War Kudeta, sired by Angelo Eclipse and Nona Noni, managed to seize the lead.
His domination, leading by half a horse length, became unstoppable from the 200-meter mark until the finish line.

However, the efforts of Lord Montjeu T.A and Star Montjeu T.A were not enough to defeat She’s Coming from Aragon Stable, who claimed first place in the class competing for the Susi Air Cup with a total prize of Rp30 million.
She’s Coming, ridden by jockey Dani Saddak, is a chestnut mare weighing 51 kg in the senior category.
The horse is the result of the pairing of Dane Faver and Smitten Kitten.
