SARGA.CO - The Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Merdeka Cup 2025 delivered unforgettable moments, particularly in the 3-Year-Old Prospects Class – 1,200 meters, where Fiona of Khalim, a promising young horse from West Java, secured a convincing victory at Legok Jawa Racecourse on Sunday, 24 August 2025.

The prestigious class, contested by seven horses representing various provinces, became a showcase for the next generation of racing champions.

From Gate to Glory

Starting confidently from Gate 3, Fiona of Khalim, ridden by jockey Genta T Dinata, immediately engaged in fierce competition with top contenders including Inna Fatahna T.A (Central Java), Red Minister (West Java), and Diva Istana (East Java).

Through the first turn, the lead shifted multiple times, with Red Minister and Diva Istana briefly ahead. However, in the final 600 meters, the race tightened dramatically.

The climax unfolded in the last 100 meters as Fiona and Inna Fatahna engaged in a head-to-head sprint. Demonstrating exceptional speed and stamina, Fiona of Khalim surged ahead, crossing the finish line first.

Fiona of Khalim, bred by King Halim Stable, finished the race as the first winner, leaving Inna Fatahna T.A. who finished in second place, and Red Minister in third.
