SARGA.CO – The Legok Jawa Racecourse once again became the stage for high-octane drama during the prestigious Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Merdeka Cup 2025 on Sunday, August 24, 2025. In the 1,600-meter Class C event, only three horses lined up at the gates—but the race turned into one of the most epic and nail-biting contests of the entire day.
Victory went to Yuwaraja, the pride of Aragon Stable (West Java), after an electrifying late charge in the final 400 meters that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. This wasn’t just a win—it was a photo-finish triumph, with Yuwaraja edging past his stablemate Royal Dinasti by just a matter of inches.
Despite featuring only three contenders—Yuwaraja, Royal Dinasti, and Kancil Mas T.A—the race lost none of its intensity. Instead, it became a pure showdown of power, speed, and strategy.
Breaking from Gate 3, Royal Dinasti, owned in partnership by Aragon Stable and Orbit Sport Horse, immediately seized control. His strong, steady gallop kept him at the front, while Kancil Mas T.A and Yuwaraja alternated in pressing from behind, carefully conserving their energy for the crucial stretch.
Everything changed as the field entered the last 400 meters. Yuwaraja, who had been running conservatively, suddenly unleashed his full power, sweeping wide on the outside. With long, surging strides and the whip coming down, he ignited a breathtaking sprint.
The final stretch turned into an all-out duel between stablemates Yuwaraja and Royal Dinasti. Neck and neck, stride for stride, they stormed toward the finish line as the crowd held its breath.
In the end, the photo finish told the story—Yuwaraja crossed first by the slimmest of margins. His thrilling surge earned him the coveted Arsari Tambang Cup and the top prize of Rp30 million.
Remarkably, two of the three horses in this class came from Aragon Stable, underlining the stable’s strength in producing elite-level racehorses. But the dominance didn’t lessen the rivalry—the ferocious head-to-head battle between Yuwaraja and Royal Dinasti proved just how competitive things get within the same camp.
Meanwhile, Kancil Mas T.A, representing Tombo Ati Stable (Central Java), ran a strong race of his own. Though finishing third, he showed grit and determination, never allowing the Aragon pair an easy path to victory.
