To back up the training and certification initiatives for human resources in equestrian sports, Aryo announced that PP PORDASI is currently renovating its headquarters at JIEP Pulomas, Jakarta. The new facilities will include dedicated training spaces and equipment to host professional development programs.
“With these facilities, PP PORDASI will be able to bring in experts from both within and outside Indonesia to conduct specialized training. I also encourage the Breeding Commission to collaborate with various partners to accelerate and expand the implementation of its programs,” he added.
Regarding certification for training, stable rating, and other related programs, Aryo emphasized that PP PORDASI is ready to facilitate partnerships with relevant institutions to ensure that certifications are issued in digital form with strict validation processes, thus building public trust in the system.
The working meeting covered several strategic issues, including the implementation of the Indonesian Horse Certificate (SKI) — previously known as the Horse Registration Bureau Certificate (BRK) — the issuance of PORDASI and FEI Horse Passports, training and certification programs for both support staff and officials, Stable Rating, and the Beat The Heat campaign.
said Prof. Muladno.
On the SKI implementation, Prof. Muladno explained that system and operational preparations are nearly complete, with the final step being the placement of competent personnel, such as verifiers. The Commission will also conduct outreach on the new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to provincial boards (Pengprov) and enforce the rule that SKI will be the only recognized certification moving forward.
he added.
This meeting also brought together practitioners and academics, including Professor of Animal Reproduction at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) of IPB University, Prof. Dr. drh. Amrozi, along with veterinarians from various regions across Indonesia.
Prof. Amrozi highlighted that building strong systems and human resources is essential, as achievements in equestrian sports depend not only on athletes and horses. Oversight, evaluation, and performance assessment also play key roles in ensuring that programs run effectively and meet their intended goals.
Prof. Amrozi concluded.
