SARGA.CO – Ever since the global release of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, the fandom of this horse-racing-themed game—known as “Trainers”—has been galloping into the spotlight. That enthusiasm reached the real world at the Indonesia Horse Racing Championship 2025, during the 59th PORDASI National Horse Racing Series II, held at the Sultan Agung Racecourse, Bantul, Yogyakarta, last weekend.
The atmosphere was nothing short of umazing, umantap, and kudahsyat (a playful mix of “amazing” and “horse-tastic”), as members of the Uma Musume Indonesia community joined the national championship festivities. They didn’t just come to watch—they set up a full-fledged community booth, complete with an Uma Musume–themed photo booth, drawing the attention of visitors and horse-racing fans from across the country.
The presence of the Uma Musume community wasn’t just a gimmick. During SARGA.CO’s live broadcast of the event, many “Trainers” could be seen passionately cheering for the real-life horses—some even dressed in cosplay as their favorite Uma Musume characters, blending fantasy and reality in a scene straight out of an anime dream.
The collaboration also caught the attention of major media outlets. In an interview with MetroTV, Esther D. Ginting, Corporate Communication representative from SARGA.CO, confirmed that the organizers intentionally collaborated with the Uma Musume Indonesia community to help introduce the world of horse racing to younger audiences.
“We’re very open to cross-community collaborations, including with Uma Musume fans,” Esther explained. “The goal is to expand the reach of horse racing and bring this sport closer to the younger generation.”
SARGA.CO’s live stream captured not only the thrilling races but also the lively atmosphere surrounding the Uma Musume booth—cosplayers interacting with visitors, fans exchanging stories, and a flood of live chat comments filled with iconic Uma Musume catchphrases.
This collaboration marks a refreshing chapter for Indonesia’s horse-racing scene, proving that traditional sports can coexist—and even thrive—alongside modern pop culture and digital fan communities.
