SARGA.CO – The 2025 Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono X at Sultan Agung Racecourse, Yogyakarta, may have wrapped up nearly a month ago—but the unforgettable memories from the final event of the IHR 2025 series still linger, especially for Indonesia’s Uma Musume community.
For the first time, the IHR Series featured a special Uma Musume class in the additional event, the Cos Race Yogyakarta-Kinen 2025—transforming the usually tense race track into a fantasy arena.
Dozens of cosplayers sprinted down the Sultan Agung racecourse in two classes, each covering 100 meters. Wearing costumes inspired by iconic racehorses from Japan and beyond, these cosplayers dashed like real racers, aiming to be the first to cross the finish line.
The excitement didn’t stop on the track. Up in the stands, cosplayers brought a fresh, colorful energy to the entire venue.
Meanwhile, the Uma Musume community booth was one of the main attractions. Complete with a character-themed photo booth, visitors could interact, take pictures, and share experiences about the Uma Musume game.
Many “Trainers” even came in their favorite character cosplay, creating a fun and playful atmosphere amid the tension of the races. Some were even approached by spectators who wanted to take photos with them during the horse racing event hosted by SARGA.CO.
In every SARGA.CO live broadcast, the community’s enthusiasm was clearly visible. The cameras highlighted not only the races but also the interactions between cosplayers and visitors.
The live streaming was just as lively. The live chat was filled with Uma Musume catchphrases, making the broadcast even more energetic and exciting.
Interestingly, this collaboration also gained media attention. In an interview with MetroTV, Esther D. Ginting, Corporate Communication of SARGA.CO, confirmed that the organizers collaborated directly with the Uma Musume Indonesia Community to introduce horse racing to the younger generation.
Even though this was the first time a Cos Race was held, the presence of the Uma Musume community already brought a fresh, generational touch. Indonesia’s horse racing world is evolving along with the times—proof that a sport once seen as traditional can coexist with modern pop culture and digital communities.
