SARGA.CO – From the cool highlands of Minahasa, North Sulawesi, was born a small racehorse destined to challenge the giants of Indonesia’s tracks. Standing 153 cm tall, chestnut in color, with an undying fighting spirit, Milord became a symbol of courage, perseverance, and beauty in the national horse racing scene.
He was not the biggest. Nor the most physically striking. But on the track, Milord was a little warrior with the soul of a lion. And although his journey ended sooner than anyone had hoped, his story lives on.
And then comes an imaginative question often posed by racing fans and Uma Musume lovers: “If Milord were an Uma Musume character, what would he be like?”
Small But Agile: An ‘Underdog’ Character Who Never Gives Up
In the world of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, each horse girl embodies the spirit of her real-life counterpart. If Milord appeared there, he would be a petite, energetic horse girl with incredible speed.
Picture her as a sprinter–mid-distance type, with the determined running style of Narita Top Road or Grass Wonder. Yet she would also carry the wild, unpredictable energy that reminds us of Gold Ship—chaotic but deeply beloved by fans.
Her main abilities? Perhaps a passive skill called “Little King from the East”, which boosts acceleration when running behind larger opponents. While her active skill could be “Brave Against Anyone”, granting a huge boost near the finish line.
Tragedy on the Track
February 16, 2025, became the darkest day in Milord’s journey. In the Central Java Derby final, Milord led beautifully until an unexpected accident ended it all. Salvator Minang, a horse who had lost his jockey, suddenly turned back and collided hard with him.
Milord fell instantly. His trusted jockey, Jones Paendong, suffered severe injuries and required surgery. The racing world stopped in grief.
The Legacy of a Fighter
But legends never die. The North Sulawesi racing community immortalized his name with the Milord Memorial Cup, while the Minahasa Regency Government unveiled a statue of Milord in West Tompaso on June 5, 2025. The statue shows him poised to run, as if saying: “I may be small, but I will keep running.”
In reality, Milord was an extraordinary colt who only needed seven races to carve an eternal mark: 5 victories and 2 runner-up finishes. That record made him a top favorite for the 2025 Indonesia Derby and a strong candidate for the Triple Crown King, until tragedy took it all away.
If Milord truly became an Uma Musume character, she might not be a big talker. But she would be the type who always smiles during training, fights on after failure, and never fears bigger rivals.
Her presence would teach many lessons—about courage, about dreams, and about accepting fate with head held high. In Uma Musume events, she might become the closest rival to champions, even if not always the winner.
