SARGA.CO – Fans of horse racing and the global Uma Musume community are in mourning. Gentildonna, one of the world’s most successful and highest-earning racehorses, has been reported dead.
The heartbreaking news surfaced through an Instagram post by @idolhorsedotcom on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
“Gentildonna, a renowned Japan Cup champion, has passed away at the age of 16,” wrote the account.
A similar report was published by sundaytc.jp.co, confirming that Gentildonna died on November 25, 2025.
Her passing feels even more emotional as it coincides with the exact date of her first-ever Japan Cup victory.
Gentildonna’s death brings sorrow not only to jockeys, breeders, owners, and trainers in Japan and around the world, but also to the Indonesian Uma Musume fanbase.
According to gamebrott.com, the Uma Musume Pretty Derby fan community was shocked to hear that one of their beloved character inspirations had passed away.
