SARGA.CO – The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), together with the Daily Racing Form and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB), has announced the 17 finalists for the 2025 Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards, recognizing those who delivered the best performances throughout the 2025 season.

The winners of the 2025 Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards, including the 2025 Horse of the Year, will be announced on FanDuel TV and other media outlets during the 55th Annual Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards, presented by John Deere, The Jockey Club, and the NTRA, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Out of 240 eligible voters—comprising members of the NTRA, racing officials and Equibase track personnel, NTWAB members, and Daily Racing Form representatives—221 voters, or 92 percent, have cast their ballots.

Finalists in each category are determined based on the top three choices of voters, using a 10–5–1 point system. Eclipse Award winners are decided solely based on first-place votes.

The Eclipse Awards are named after the legendary 18th-century racehorse and foundation sire, Eclipse, who began racing at the age of five and remained unbeaten in 18 starts, including eight walkover victories. Eclipse sired winners of 344 races, including three Epsom Derby champions.

10. Female Turf Horse: Gezora, She Feels Pretty, Shisospicy
