SARGA.CO—The IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025, successfully held on July 27 at Lapangan Pacuan Kuda Sultan Agung Bantul, DIY, became a major highlight with the dominance of King Halim Stable on the national track. From King Argentin's victory to the brilliant performance of its mares and other racehorses, this stable from West Java proved to be one of Indonesia's top horse racing powerhouses.

Fiona of Khalim secured first place in the 2-Year-Old Novice C/D Non-Finalist Class over 1,200 meters. Their dominance in the heavyweight class was also shown by Queen Divona, who won the Open Class A over 2,000 meters.

In the novice category, Maxi of Khalim led the 2-Year-Old Novice A/B Class over 1,400 meters. Meanwhile, Princess Gavi finished second in the same class as King Argentin, and War Kudeta completed King Halim Stable's dominance with a third-place finish in the 4-Year-Old A/B Class over 2,000 meters.

The success of sweeping titles from the novice categories to the Derby class shows that their dominance is the result of continuous development and consistent performance. This also establishes King Halim Stable as a symbol of the West Java contingent's triumph in the national competition landscape.

Born on August 25, 2021, in Pasuruan, East Java, King Argentin is a black KP6-breed stallion that has become the main attraction in Indonesian horse racing. His toughness comes from the lineage of his mother, Princess Missoni, who is related by blood to Secretariat, the legendary American racehorse and 1973 American Triple Crown winner.

At the IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025, King Argentin, ridden by Jemmy Runtu, remained calm among the pack. He let Sidney All Star and Wonder Land take the lead from the start. However, on the final turn, as his rivals began to tire, he surged forward.

His acceleration in the last 400 meters was impressive: fast, precise, and unstoppable. In an instant, he left his closest rivals behind by a margin of two horse lengths.

King Argentin finished first, followed by Princess Gavi from the same stable, while Romantic Spartan from West Sumatra took third place as a newcomer.

Championship blood runs strong in her lineage. From her father, Agrippa, she inherits the influence of Blushing Groom from France and Balmerino from New Zealand, two big names known for their toughness on the international stage.

From her mother's side, Queen Jasmine inherits the legacy of Lord At War and Cal Harbor, which reinforces her stamina and acceleration.

From her father's side, War Senator, she carries the influence of Lord At War and Lady Winborne, while from her mother's side, Conrad, she inherits the toughness of Sabeil from New Zealand and Blandford Park from America.

Even more special, through her father's line, Fiona of Khalim is still connected to Secretariat, the world-legendary racehorse and 1973 American Triple Crown winner. This confirms her potential as one of Indonesia's most promising young horses.

That potential became even more apparent in the 2-Year-Old Novice C/D Non-Finalist Class over 1,200 meters at the IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025.

Fiona of Khalim was in a fierce duel with P. Putri Barbara. The tight competition lasted until the final turn, with P. Putri Barbara still leading 200 meters from the finish line. Meanwhile, Fiona of Khalim was close behind in second place, waiting for the right moment.

The sprint between the two intensified in the final stretch, with them even running side-by-side towards the finish line. Both jockeys whipped at almost the same time, but Fiona of Khalim's explosive acceleration finally carried her to first place by a narrow margin over P. Putri Barbara from BHM Stable.

From her father's side, she inherits the toughness of Dynamoor Kid, while from her mother's side, Poseidina, she carries a strong influence from Lord At War from Argentina.

Just like some of the previous King Halim Stable horses, she is also still connected to the world legend, Secretariat.

Queen Divona's dominance further completed the lineup of mares from King Halim Stable with her victory in the Open Class A over 2,000 meters. 

Starting from gate four with jockey Hanny Suoth, Queen Divona chose a calm strategy, not getting carried away even though Triple S, Berkat Eclipse, and Arbok Nagari were fighting for the top three positions.

A fierce battle ensued among those three horses, while Queen Divona consistently maintained her rhythm from fourth place. Entering the second turn, Queen Divona began to press from the outside, slowly overtaking to close in on the front line.

On the final turn, her acceleration became even sharper. Queen Divona managed to take second place from the outside, then got into a tight duel with Triple S towards the finish line. With an unstoppable final sprint, Queen Divona finally surged forward and secured first place.

Despite only just reaching racing age, he is already considered a potential star on the track.

Maxi of Khalim's strength also rests on his lineage. From his father's side, Maksimilian passes down the champion blood of Blushing Groom, a big name that has produced many tough racehorses worldwide. 

Meanwhile, from his mother's side, Rose Black KH, he inherits stamina and endurance through Son’s In War, which carries a strong influence from Lord At War.

Maxi of Khalim's ability as a strong finisher was truly evident in the 2-Year-Old Novice A/B Class over 1,400 meters. From the start, this King Halim Stable-trained horse chose a calm pace, staying in sixth place while letting Nara Eclipse lead with tight pressure from Suntora Nagari.

However, the scenario changed drastically towards the finish line. Maxi of Khalim began to unleash his full power, surging from the outside with powerful, long strides. One by one, he overtook the horses in front of him until he broke through the tight front pack.

The finishing kick he showed sent a clear signal. Indirectly, it also showed that Maxi of Khalim has a competitive instinct and an explosive power that can be his main weapon on the track.

With several achievements on the track, this Jragem-colored stallion established himself as one of King Halim Stable's strong contenders at the IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025.

The blood of Dynamoor Kid runs deep in his veins, inheriting proven toughness and speed. This lineage is no ordinary one. He is a strong influence of Dark Velvet, inheriting the blood of tough Australian horses, including legendary names like Darth Vader and Lady Arabella.

Starting from gate two under the control of Jemmy Runtu, War Kudeta immediately performed aggressively in the 4-Year-Old A/B Class over 2,000 meters. Unlike other King Halim Stable horses that chose a calm pace at the beginning, War Kudeta was bold enough to take the lead and stay in front from the start.

However, approaching the last 600 meters, pressure came. Naga Sembilan began to push forward, followed by King of Istana, who was just as aggressive. The two horses fought for the front position, while War Kudeta tried to maintain his rhythm and energy.

In the increasingly tense final stretch, War Kudeta showed his signature fighting spirit, holding his ground amid a pack of tough rivals. In the end, he closed the race with a third-place finish. 

King Argentin, Princess Gavi, Fiona of Khalim, Queen Divona, and Maxi of Khalim all showed the high quality of a racehorse with mature race strategies, from maintaining rhythm to explosive acceleration in the final stretch.

Meanwhile, War Kudeta closed the IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025 with a third-place finish, fully proving King Halim Stable's dominance on the podium.

This winning pattern also shows that King Halim Stable has a well-rounded squad, with both stallions and mares. This indirectly makes them a powerhouse in the national horse racing arena.
