A similar trend was observed at the A.E. Kawilarang Memorial Cup 2025 Open Class - 2,000 M and the Kejuaraan Nasional Ke-58 Pacuan Kuda PORDASI 2024 – Seri II in the Open Class A Star of Stars - 2,200 M.

In this premier class, several big names were prepared to battle for the honorary trophy from Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.

Chief among them was Naga Sembilan, the defending champion of the Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono X 2024, who had also secured a brilliant victory by winning the Class A Star of Stars - 2,200 M at Indonesia’s Horse Racing: Kejurnas Pacuan Kuda PORDASI ke-59 Seri II 2025.

Equally eye-catching was Princess Gavi, the bay mare who previously took the main podium in the Super Sprint Class - 1,300 M.

What made this contest even more thrilling was that the two champions from those prestigious classes were once again going head-to-head in the Open Class - 2,000 M. Their encounter was one of the most anticipated duels of the year.

Both Princess Gavi and Naga Sembilan boast reputations as formidable challengers. They had both previously been runners-up in the 3-Year-Old Derby Class—Princess Gavi in the IHR: Indonesia Derby 2025, and Naga Sembilan in the Kejuaraan Nasional Pacuan Kuda Seri 01 – Indonesia Derby 2024.

With impressive track records and consistent form, they were expected to be stiff competition for one another. Triple’s, who was also running in the same class, was ready to uphold his dominance over the 2,000-meter track.

But who could have predicted that the spotlight, initially fixed on Naga Sembilan and Princess Gavi, would slowly shift toward Triple’s thanks to the consistency he displayed the moment the starting gate flew open?

Under the guidance of Meikel Soleran, Triple’s burst out with impressive speed, immediately seizing the lead. The defending champion, Naga Sembilan, closely shadowed him in second place, while other tough contenders calmly held their rhythm without being rushed.

Maintaining a safe lead of two lengths, Triple’s held steady and seemed untouchable, even by Naga Sembilan or Princess Gavi.

That consistent speed, from the break to the wire, made Triple’s unstoppable, finishing the race with absolute dominance over his rivals.

The coveted trophy finally changed hands, moving from Naga Sembilan to Triple’s. It was proof that consistency is the key to conquering the track and claiming the championship throne.

While initially overlooked, Triple’s delivered a shock performance. His consistent front-running from the start carried him to a sweet victory at the finish line.

Back then, heading into the final 450 meters, Triple’s was still three meters ahead of Queen Thalassa. In the end, however, Triple’s had to yield to Queen Thalassa's sheer power, as she managed to overtake him in the final seconds.

That race ended with Triple’s finishing in the second position. Even so, the duel proved that Triple’s is one of the most consistent and dangerous challengers in the long-distance class.

This consistency was further solidified by his partnership with Meikel Soleran at the IHR: Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono X 2025. The two bolstered each other on the track, especially since Meikel is recognized as one of the most impressively performing jockeys in Indonesia today. 

His ability to maintain tempo and read the needs of the race allowed Triple’s to perform steadily from start to finish.
