SARGA.CO – Amid the thunder of hooves and clouds of dust at Sultan Agung Racecourse, Yogyakarta, one unexpected name rose above the rest — Golden Glory.
The three-year-old filly from Naviri Stable (Bali), ridden by Stief Tongkeles, delivered a performance full of determination and class to claim victory in Race IV – 3-Year-Old Junior Division II (1,200 meters) at the 59th Indonesia Horse Racing (IHR) PORDASI National Championship Series II 2025, held on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
With consistent pace, sharp instincts, and a flawless late surge, Golden Glory secured the Arsari Tambang Cup, earning a historic win for the Bali contingent.
Race IV was among the most competitive events of the day. Nine horses from six regional associations went head-to-head for top honors. From the green light, the front pack quickly became crowded — Blate Vasundara from Aragon Stable and Elgawira took early control, followed closely by Surya Danastry.
Amid the chaos, Golden Glory stayed calm, patiently waiting for the right moment. Standing 156 cm tall, the filly gradually slipped out of the cluster and accelerated along the outer lane — a bold tactical move that proved decisive.
As the race entered its final 400 meters, the tension peaked. Golden Glory faced fierce pressure from Jayden Hyde of DKI Jakarta, who surged into second place. Yet the Bali champion remained composed — her strides were steady, her speed unwavering, and her jockey’s control precise.
Behind them, Elgawira, a powerful stallion from Aragon Stable (West Java) and known as a strong finisher, launched a breathtaking final sprint. He managed to overtake Jayden Hyde, but Golden Glory’s final burst was simply untouchable. She crossed the finish line first — a clear, decisive victory.
