SARGA.CO – In the world of horse racing, some horses leave a mark not only for their victories but for how they win. One such name today is War Kudeta—a five-year-old dark bay stallion standing proudly at 160 cm, the new star of King Halim Stable.
In recent months, War Kudeta’s name has risen like a meteor. He hasn’t just collected wins—he’s created thrilling race dramas that spectators won’t soon forget.
Last August, at Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) – Merdeka Cup 2025, War Kudeta shone as the main attraction. In the Open Sprint Class (1,300 meters), he proved that a true champion doesn’t always lead from the start.
Facing five strong contenders from across the country, War Kudeta initially stayed at the back of the pack. But that was where his heroic story began.
Just 200 meters from the finish line, War Kudeta exploded—catching up with the early leader and overtaking with powerful strides. In moments, he took the lead, and no other horse could catch him before the finish.
In October 2025, War Kudeta reaffirmed his dominance at the Pordasi National Horse Racing Championship Series II 2025, held at Sultan Agung Racecourse, Yogyakarta. This time, he competed in Class B – 1,850 meters.
War Kudeta displayed a masterful strategy. Instead of rushing to the front, he calmly maintained his rhythm in the middle group.
When other horses began to tire in their fight for the lead, War Kudeta ignited his speed.
His stride was steady, his acceleration sharp, and in the final seconds, he surged forward—crossing the finish line first by a narrow but convincing margin.
Two consecutive victories. Two different tracks. One message: War Kudeta embodies deadly calm at the finish.
Now, all eyes turn to him again. On Sunday, November 9, 2025, War Kudeta will return to the same track—Sultan Agung, Yogyakarta—to race in the Open Sprint Class (1,300 meters) at the Hamengku Buwono X Cup.
This time, strong rivals await: Dominator, Dewa United formerly Sunglight Nagari, Azarya Eclipse, King Nagura Agatha Star, and Red Sea.
But for War Kudeta, pressure is nothing new. He has proven that within his quiet early strides lies a storm waiting to be unleashed near the end.
War Kudeta is renowned as a master finisher—a horse that holds back his power until the most crucial moment.
The offspring of Dynamoor Kid and Indah Sumbar, War Kudeta has a distinctive running style: observing the tempo from mid or back positions, conserving energy with strict discipline, and then unleashing a powerful sprint in the final 200 meters.
One of his trademarks is using the inner lane for his final attack. This strategy keeps his movement efficient, cutting distance while leaving little room for opponents to close in.
And when he releases his finishing burst—a short yet explosive acceleration—War Kudeta often changes the outcome of the race in just a few seconds.
