SARGA.CO – In Indonesia’s horse racing world, the name Princess Gavi is making waves. The four-year-old bay mare has been delivering outstanding performances in various prestigious events.
Owned by Kusnadi Halim of King Halim Stable, Princess Gavi is an elegant blend of speed, intelligence, and determination.
Standing at 158 cm, she embodies the ideal physique of a modern racehorse—lean, balanced, and powerful.
Champion blood runs deep in Princess Gavi’s veins. She is the offspring of Agrippa and Queen Jasmine, two distinguished names with remarkable pedigrees.
From her sire Agrippa, Gavi inherits the lineage of Blushing Groom from France and Balmerino from New Zealand—two legends celebrated for their explosive speed and consistency on the international stage.
From her dam Queen Jasmine, she carries the resilient genes of Lord At War and Cal Harbor, which grant her exceptional endurance and stamina. This combination makes Gavi not only fast but also durable and tactically intelligent—a true strategist on the track.
Unlike many horses that rush forward right from the start, Princess Gavi has a distinct style: calm early, explosive at the end. She doesn’t charge recklessly; instead, she carefully waits for the perfect moment to strike.
This strategy was on full display in her last two performances. At the IHR Pordasi National Championship Series II 2025 last October, in the Class A Super Sprint (1,300 meters), Gavi initially trailed at the back. But in the final 300 meters, she surged ahead with electrifying speed, overtaking her rivals one by one and finishing just a nose ahead.
Earlier, at the IHR Indonesia Derby 2025 in July, she dazzled again in the 3-Year-Old Derby Class (2,000 meters). Coming from behind, she powered forward at the final turn and secured second place, just behind King Argentin.
Such a racing style has earned Princess Gavi the reputation of a true “closer”—a horse with sharp acceleration capable of changing the outcome of a race in mere seconds.
After two spectacular performances, all eyes now turn to November 9, 2025, when Princess Gavi returns to the track for the Open Sprint Class (2,000 meters) at Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Hamengku Buwono X Cup./
In this event, Gavi will face formidable competitors, including the reigning champion Naga Sembilan. Many analysts predict this will be one of the most thrilling duels of the season, with Princess Gavi standing as a top contender for the championship title.
