King Argentine One Step Away from Making History, Jemmy Runtu Guides a Flawless Run

SARGA.CO – Once again, Jemmy Runtu is in the spotlight after successfully guiding King Argentine to victory in the IHR: Triple Crown Series II 2025. In a tight race, Jemmy remained calm and calculated throughout.

"At the start, of course I wanted to take the lead right away. But the track was slippery, so I had to pick my lines carefully. There was a moment we kept passing each other with the horse Wonder Land,"

Jemmy told the SARGA team after the race.

The race in the 3-Year-Old Derby Triple Crown Series II class was intense, with King Argentine closely trailed by Wonder Land.

However, Jemmy’s experience as a senior jockey shone through—he didn’t force the pace early on.

"The key to this win was that I was able to control the horse’s pace, so he could stay consistent throughout the race,"

he added.

The strategy paid off. In the second half, King Argentine surged steadily ahead, outperforming Wonder Land and the rest to finish first. He was securing his ticket to potentially make history by claiming the Triple Crown if he wins again at the Indonesia Derby Nationals this July.

This victory not only highlights King Argentine's quality as the flagship horse of King Halim Stable, but also showcases Jemmy Runtu's skill in reading the race and maintaining momentum.

"Next, we’ll train and prepare for the July race. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. King Argentine is in good shape. And I’m 100 percent ready too,"

said Jemmy enthusiastically.
