SARGA.CO – As the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok draw closer (scheduled for 9–20 December 2025), preparations for Indonesia’s equestrian team are intensifying.
The Equestrian Commission of PP PORDASI is set to host Talent Scouting, a national athlete selection and recruitment program to identify the best equestrian talents who will represent Indonesia on the Southeast Asian stage.
This scouting initiative will assess athletes across three prestigious equestrian disciplines:
The program will officially begin on 18 June 2025, with Arthayasa Stable in Limo, Depok (West Java) serving as the central venue for Dressage and Eventing.

Rafiq further explained that, in addition to Talent Scouting, athlete evaluation will also take into account performances in both national and international championships, such as CDI (Dressage) and CSI (Show Jumping) events.
Interestingly, Show Jumping selections will be based solely on official competition results, without Talent Scouting.
“One month before the SEA Games, the selection committee will finalize the names of athletes qualified to represent Indonesia, based on both scouting results and performance records,” he added.
Meanwhile, PP PORDASI Chairman Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo called the scouting program a significant breakthrough to sharpen national equestrian talent and boost preparation levels.
Aryo affirmed.
