SARGA.CO – The Indonesian Equestrian Federation (PP PORDASI) continues to reaffirm its commitment to developing elite homegrown athletes, not only by elevating technical skills and hosting world-class championships, but now also by sharpening the mental resilience and discipline of its riders.
The collaboration was formalized on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Bimasena Club, Dharmawangsa, Jakarta. The signing ceremony featured PP PORDASI Chairman Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo and Deputy Commander of Pussenkav, Brig. Gen. Rayen Obersyl, witnessed by senior PORDASI officials and top-ranking Pussenkav personnel.
In his speech, Brig. Gen. Rayen Obersyl emphasized that this partnership is not a mere ceremony, but a true synergy to advance Indonesian equestrian sports.
“Cavalry and PORDASI share a long history. We are ready to support in terms of personnel, facilities, and technical knowledge. This is a collaboration to build a strong equestrian ecosystem in Indonesia,” said Brig. Gen. Rayen.
The agreement includes mental and disciplinary training programs centered at Denkavkud Parongpong, West Bandung. This site will become a “kawah candradimuka”—a rigorous training ground—for athletes preparing for national and international arenas.
PP PORDASI Chairman Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo emphasized that character-building is just as vital as technical mastery in the sport of equestrian.
“We aim to develop athletes who are not only excellent on horseback but also strong in character,” Aryo stated. “Our dream is to hear Indonesia Raya played at SEA Games, Asian Games, and even the Olympics—thanks to our equestrian team.”
As part of the initiative, PP PORDASI officially handed over 18 Eventing Cross Country obstacles to Denkavkud. These training tools were previously used in the federation’s Eventing Talent Scouting program and are expected to enhance the center’s facilities further.
With this partnership, Indonesia’s journey toward global equestrian recognition gains new momentum, grounded in discipline, unity, and national pride.
Market value expected to reach US$1.73 billion by 2035
