

SARGA.CO—The Tegalwaton Horse Racing Arena in Semarang Regency witnessed the prestigious Le Minerale Piala Ketua Umum PP. Pordasi 2024-2028 competition. Held on Sunday, the event offered a spectacular total prize of IDR 938 million and featured 119 horses from various stables.
Two main classes stole the spotlight with their prestige and excitement: the Kelas A Sprint 1,300-meter and the Kelas A Terbuka 2,000-meter. Both classes captivated audiences with intense rivalries between jockeys and their exceptional horses.
In the Kelas A Sprint 1,300-meter, Achmad Saefudin from Dewa United Stable emerged victorious with his trusted horse, Dewa United dh. Sunlight Nagari. His outstanding performance dominated the intense and fast-paced race.

Meanwhile, in the Kelas A Terbuka 2,000-meter, victory was claimed by Yanni Rondonuwu from Shella Saukia Stable with his strong horse, Triple S dh. Noel Sion. Strategy and the horse’s stamina were the keys to success in this endurance-demanding race.
The Shella Saukia Stable team, Haji Fitrah, expressed their pride in their jockey and horse’s achievement. “Triple S is truly a long-distance horse. Its usual rival, Queen Thalassa, didn’t participate this time, so this was Triple S’s opportunity. The compatibility between the jockey and the horse was perfect,” they stated.
With a total prize pool of IDR 938 million, this event was not just an ordinary competition but a symbol of appreciation for the dedication of jockeys, stable owners, and all horse racing enthusiasts in Indonesia. The participation of 119 horses demonstrated the high enthusiasm of the national horse racing community.
The prestigious event not only attracted jockeys and stable owners but also drew a crowd of 5,566 spectators to the Tegalwaton Horse Racing Arena. The audience’s excitement created a lively atmosphere, even under the rain.
Cheers erupted every time a horse bolted across the track, adding to the intensity and spirit of the races. This remarkable enthusiasm showcased that horse racing remains a significant attraction for the Indonesian public.
Before competing, the horses underwent thorough inspections and were categorized into their respective classes. These preparations were led by Chief Steward H. Katompo, along with Budi Kadaryono, Yandis Laluyan, Ibnu Ardhiansyah, A.Md., and Oxy Restyo P.
Chief Steward H. Katompo explained, “The measurements are to ensure that each horse is placed in a class appropriate for its height or age.”
The event marked an important milestone for the Persatuan Olahraga Berkuda Seluruh Indonesia (PORDASI). It is hoped that competitions like this will continue to foster the development of horse racing in Indonesia, producing top-tier athletes and horses in the future.
