SARGA.CO – Ka Ying Rising is one of the fastest and most dominant racehorses in the world today. Born on September 3, 2020, in New Zealand and trained in Hong Kong, this horse was originally purchased for only NZ$500 (around Rp4.7 million). Yet, with racing bloodlines from his sire Shamexpress and dam Missy Moo, Ka Ying Rising showed exceptional potential from an early age.
Records and Achievements
Ka Ying Rising boasts an impressive record of 14 wins and 2 second-place finishes from just 16 races.
Among his Group 1 triumphs are victories in several prestigious races, including the Chairman’s Sprint Prize (2025), Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup (2025), and Centenary Sprint Cup (2025).
In January 2025, Ka Ying Rising broke the Sha Tin 1200-meter track record with a stunning time of 1:07.20, surpassing the previous record held by Sacred Kingdom.
His dominance earned him the title of Hong Kong Horse of the Year 2024/2025.
Ka Ying Rising has not only shone in Hong Kong but is also making waves on the international stage. In October 2025, he is scheduled to compete in The Everest, one of Australia’s most prestigious sprint races.
Although rumors circulated on social media about his physical condition, trainer David Hayes and jockey Zac Purton assured fans that the horse is in top form and fully ready to compete.
Known for his aggressive and spirited racing style, Ka Ying Rising possesses phenomenal acceleration that makes him almost unbeatable on the straight. Trainer David Hayes even compared his lightning speed to that of legendary sprinter Usain Bolt. (Source: thoroughbreddailynews.com, idolhorse.com)
