SARGA.CO – A fierce battle on the racetrack of Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) – Triple Crown Series II 2025 brought forth an emotional moment for Kusnadi Halim, owner of King Halim Stable.
His prized horse, King Argentine, delivered a stunning performance in the 3-Year-Old Derby Triple Crown Series II at the Tegalwaton Track, Semarang Regency, Central Java, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, emerging as the champion after an intense and nerve-racking duel.

This victory, according to Kusnadi, was not the result of a single individual. He emphasized that King Argentine’s success was the outcome of the hard work of the entire team at his stable. “This win is for them,” he affirmed.
With victories in Series I in April and now Series II, King Argentine is just one step away from making history. If he can conquer the National Championship Series I – Indonesia Derby in July 2025, King Argentine will become only the third horse in Indonesian history to achieve the Triple Crown—the most prestigious title in national horse racing.
To date, only two horses have ever won Indonesia’s Triple Crown: Djohar Manik (2014) and Manik Trisula (2002).
Looking ahead to the upcoming Indonesia Derby, Kusnadi remains humble. He prefers to focus his team on thorough preparations and leave the outcome to the will of the Almighty.
"We’ll do our best to prepare everything perfectly. But in the end, if it’s God’s will, then whoever wins deserves it," he said.
