SARGA.CO – Amid concerns over national unrest in early September, the Shark Anantya 2025 Equestrian Championship proved to be one of the year’s most successful equestrian events. Held at Anantya Riding Club, Gunung Putri, Bogor, from September 2–7, 2025, the competition featured over 800 participant entries and nearly 300 horses from 45 stables across Java Island.
Not only did the event match last year’s success, but this year’s edition was considered to surpass the Shark Equestrian Competition 2024 in terms of both competitive quality and overall atmosphere.
Dressage to Show Jumping: A Track Full of Action
Shark Anantya 2025 featured two main disciplines: Dressage and Show Jumping, across multiple levels—from Walk Trot New Comer to Elementary Open for Dressage, and Learn to Jump 0–40 cm to Show Jumping 120 cm Open. These classes were not only a stage for seasoned athletes but also an opportunity for young, talented riders from various clubs to prove themselves.
Despite concerns about possible cancellations due to security issues, Yusmin Suwoko, Founder of Anantya Riding Club, expressed satisfaction with the successful execution.
"We just wanted to deliver our best, better than last year. Even though some stables canceled, the support from the local community allowed us to hold the event safely and comfortably," said Yusmin.
She also highlighted the importance of sponsors in making the event a success. “This year, sponsors came not only from Shark’s partners but also from Anantya members themselves. This added energy helps us continue improving the event’s quality to a higher level.”
Rahmat Natsir, Event Director and Show Jumping Course Designer, explained that the arena was designed to give riders space to experiment. "We used a course design that allows athletes to choose their best route—whether to play it safe or take shortcuts. This encourages strategy and creativity," he said.
Despite national uncertainties, the event proceeded smoothly without any major incidents—a noteworthy achievement.
From Dressage Dominance to Four Bars Surprises
Several names stood out during the competition. In Dressage, M. Faris Dwi Novansyah (Aragon Equestrian Sport) impressively took home two overall titles: Preliminary FEI Open and Elementary Open.
Naureen Asheeqa (Anggatra Turangga Equestrian) swept three titles in youth categories: Preliminary Introductory U14, Walk Trot 3 U14, and Walk Trot 3 Open.
In Show Jumping, intense battles were witnessed: Nusrtdinov Zayan Fatih (DNV Equestrian) achieved a hat-trick with victories in SJ 100 cm U18, SJ 110 cm Open, and SJ 120 cm Open. Ferdi Herdiawan (Anantya Riding Club) also excelled with two titles in SJ 90 cm Young Horse and SJ 100 cm Open, thrilling his home supporters.
One of the most exciting moments came during the Four Bars Challenge, when local rider Alfito Natsir stunned everyone with a highest jump of 160 cm, surpassing other favorites. Additionally, Alfito added more titles in Dressage Preliminary to Introductory Open and SJ 70 cm Young Horse, making it a memorable performance.
