The G4 mare owned by King Halim Stable finally made her comeback after a long break, choosing no less than the prestigious Gubernur Cup 2025—which also serves as a qualifying round for PORPROV XV West Java 2026—as her stage.
For many horses, a long hiatus can spell a decline in performance. But for Queen Thalassa, it became a pause before proving she was far from finished. And she proved it most elegantly: by winning.

From the moment the gates opened, Queen Thalassa quickly secured a strategic position—calm yet responsive to the race tempo. The tension spiked in the final 200 meters when Bintang Garut—formerly known as Bintang Maja—accelerated sharply, forcing an all-out sprint duel.
But Queen Thalassa’s experience and power spoke louder. With her steady stride and long breath—true to her title as “The Long-Distance Queen”—the mare by stallion Dynamoor Kid and dam Poseidina surged forward smoothly yet decisively, crossing the finish line just a hair faster.
At 10 years old, an age when many horses begin the twilight of their careers, Queen Thalassa flipped the script. She reclaimed her throne.
