SARGA.CO – The new capital, Nusantara (IKN), continues to show its development as a future city, focused not only on building governmental and economic infrastructure but also seriously developing lifestyle and sports sectors.
One of the latest initiatives drawing public attention is building an equestrian sports facility at the heart of Indonesia's new capital.
This strategic initiative emerged following a meeting between the Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, and Aryo Puspito Setiaki Djojohadikusumo of the Arsari Group, held recently at IKN’s City Hall.
The meeting paved the way for an equestrian facility development as part of efforts to make IKN an inclusive, green, and sustainable city.
Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto, Secretary of the IKN Authority, revealed that the authority is currently seeking alternative sites to build the equestrian sports facility along with its supporting ecosystem.
A potential location has been explored in Development Area (WP) 1 of IKN.
Although the exact location has not been finalized, this exploration process reflects the IKN Authority’s serious commitment to providing diverse sports facilities.
The equestrian facilities development will be undertaken by Arsari Group, a company known for its commitment to various development projects across Indonesia.
Not only as a sports venue, this facility is expected to support the growth of the equestrian community and tourism in IKN.
The development of equestrian sports also aligns with the vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to make IKN a dynamic and globally-minded city.
In the future, this facility is expected to attract athletes, equestrian enthusiasts, and tourists, while reinforcing IKN’s position as a complete and competitive city of the future.
