SARGA.CO - Indonesian horse racing connections celebrated another triumph in Australia on 3 October as Adora Djon’s continued her rapid rise with a convincing victory at Aquis Park Gold Coast. The three-year-old daughter of Pierata, carrying the colours of connections including Indonesian owner R. I. Djatmiko, led from start to finish in the TAB One Pool Fillies and Mares BM58 Handicap over 1,200 metres. Sent off as the favourite, she collected A$15,600 for the win.
Ridden by Jasper Franklin with 58kg for trainer Peter Robl, Adora Djon’s jumped from gatenine and went forward. She maintained her front position, recording 800-metre and 400-metre sectional positions of first before crossing the line in 1:09.61, with the final 600 metres covered in 34.72 seconds. Adora Djon’s held off Icymiss by 2.63 lengths, while Caxton Lass finished third another 0.47 lengths away.
Another Step Forward
The Gold Coast victory was Adora Djon’s second consecutive win since beginning her racing career. She won her maiden at Beaudesert over 1,100 metres on 17 September 17, winning by half a length after leading throughout. Her Gold Coast assignment was a step up to 1,200 metres against older fillies and mares in a Benchmark 58 handicap.
Racing Queensland's records show that she had previously began awkwardly and laid out under pressure in the straight at Doomben, but there were no such concerns in her Gold Coast win.
Her current form now reads 1-1 from her two career starts, following two earlier gate testsbefore she entered the races. Breednet lists her as a three-year-old daughter of Pierata out of Adorabubble, a mare by Ferocity.
A Filly With Indonesian Connections
Adora Djon’s win was also highlighted by Yulong Investments, which congratulated breeder Mrs D. Diamond and all connections following the Gold Coast success.
The filly was originally sold as a yearling at the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale for A$6,000. For Indonesian racing followers, her racing ownership now includes Mrs E. J. Robl, R. I. Djatmiko, D. C. Middlebrook and A. C. Symington, with Robl training the filly at Bundall.
As of now, Adora Djon’s has gone from a lightly raced three-year-old maiden to a winner against older horses in two starts, and her unbeaten run gives the Eclipse Stable-associated Indonesian racing community another Australian success to celebrate.
