5 Hectares of Land in Bogor to Be Developed into an Equestrian Venue

SARGA.CO – The Bogor Regency Government is preparing 5 hectares of land to build a large-scale equestrian venue near Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor Regency.

Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that the development is part of a strategic collaboration between the local government and the Military Cavalry Unit, addressing the region’s need for equestrian sports facilities.

"Until now, we haven’t had a dedicated venue for equestrian sports. With this land available, we’re utilizing it as a training ground, and possibly for competitions too,"
said Rudy, quoted from the official Bogor Regency website, bogorkab.go.id.

The venue is being designed with an open-air, environmentally friendly concept and will be able to house up to 78 horses. The land used is an asset owned by the Bogor Regency Government and has been allocated through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the equestrian sports federation.

The project was inspected on-site by military and local government officials on Monday, May 5, 2025.

This facility will serve as a training center for Bogor’s equestrian athletes and foster synergy with the military cavalry regiment.
However, Rudy emphasized that the cavalry’s role in this project is not military, but ceremonial and educational.

"This route will also serve as a training ground for horses used in state guest welcoming ceremonies, both at the Bogor Palace and the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, given the venue’s strategic location,"

he explained.

The development of the equestrian track is scheduled to begin in May 2025, in parallel with the Citeureup–Cibinong toll road exit project by Jasa Marga. Rudy hopes the project will strengthen sports infrastructure and stimulate regional growth.

"Through a collaborative approach and well-planned execution, we aim to ensure Bogor Regency’s development moves forward optimally, based on synergy among all parties," said Rudy.

Chairman of PORDASI Bogor Regency, Bibit Sucipto, supports Regent Rudy Susmanto’s plan. He believes the equestrian sports facility in Pakansari will be a valuable asset for advancing the sport in the region.

He is confident the venue will also have a positive economic impact on the local community.

"There will be many equestrian events held in Pakansari, and it can become a tourism promotion platform for Bogor Regency as well," he added.
