Santana Rembulan, the chestnut mare from Santana Stable, Central Java, delivered a stunning performance by seizing victory in the final moments — overtaking longtime race leader Harata Eclipse, who had dominated from the start.

From the moment the starting gates opened, Harata Eclipse, a 4-year-old chestnut stallion standing 150.7 cm tall and representing Eclipse Stable, immediately burst ahead to take control. With consistent speed and a smooth running rhythm, he left his competitors — including Arceus Nagari and Telephony Love T.A — trailing behind.

Bred from Minahasa Eclipse and Katty Eclipse, Harata appeared unshakable until the final turn. Yet, signs of fatigue began to show as the horses entered the home stretch.

At that very moment, Santana Rembulan, sired by Pure Theater and out of Mentari Kemilau, surged from the middle lane, accelerating with powerful strides.

Fueled by her jockey’s urging and sheer endurance, Santana Rembulan displayed true grit — closing in rapidly, overtaking Harata Eclipse, and gracefully crossing the finish line just ahead to claim the top spot.

Cheers erupted from the crowd as Santana Rembulan galloped past the finish, securing a dramatic and emotional victory for the Central Java contingent.
