SARGA.CO – The long-awaited day has arrived. The thrilling Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup 2025 officially kicked off at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Arena (SSA) in Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The opening race of the IHR Cup 2025 began at 09:00 AM WIB, featuring three categories:
The first race was intense from the moment the gates opened. The front pack battle was so tight that it was difficult to determine who was leading.
Early in the race, four horses—Jupe, Intan Mustika, Untung Junior, and Sekar Arum—vied fiercely for the lead. With impressive speed, Sekar Arum surged ahead, momentarily leading the pack.
However, Sekar Arum was unable to maintain a stable lead. With 200 meters left before the finish line, two horses that had previously been behind charged forward.
Malika AJ and Brio overtook the frontrunner in a dramatic showdown, and in the final stretch, Malika AJ edged out her rival to take first place.
Al Malika AJ is a light-colored 130 cm-tall mare, ridden by jockey M. Rezan and trained by Afi Pincuk.
The victory brought immense joy to Zaenal Efendi, owner of Atmaja Stable, especially since this was their very first race.
Zaenal revealed that he had only purchased Al Malika in 2024 for IDR 50 million.
Winners of Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup Class I/J – 1000 Meters:
The second race was just as thrilling and was won by Bless Virginia from BHM Stable, South Kalimantan.
This offspring of Magnus and Black Shadow One triumphed over six other competitors.
Trainer Raymon Tambaani expressed his confidence in Bless Virginia’s win, as the team had entered her into a class lower than she typically races in.
Raymon explained that Bless Virginia usually competes in higher-tier classes—and even then, she regularly lands on the podium, often taking first or second place.
Their strategic decision paid off.
Winners of Race II – Class G/H – 1000 Meters:
BHM Stable’s dominance continued in the third race. Their champion filly Putri Barbara triumphed in the 2-Year-Old Novice Class, securing the SARGA.CO Trophy and a total prize of IDR 10 million.
BHM Stable fielded 9 racehorses in the 2025 IHR Cup, and Sheila believes they are all capable of winning titles.
They are the queens who rule the battlefield.
