SARGA.CO – Among the 16 races featured in Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) – Merdeka Cup 2025, one of the most anticipated is the 3-Year-Old Prospect Class – 1,200 meters. This race will be the proving ground for rising young stars from across the provinces.
Dubbed as the stage for future champions, the class carries a total prize of Rp40 million and promises to be one of the most competitive contests on the exotic Legok Jawa beachfront track in Pangandaran, on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Seven horses from five different provinces have been confirmed through the official drawing, with several names attracting attention thanks to their past performances or the reputation of their stables. They will battle on the challenging beach sand track, relying on speed, stamina, and jockey strategy to outpace their rivals.
Official Lineup and Gate Draw:
One of the most highly anticipated contenders is Fiona of Khalim from West Java, who delivered a strong performance in a previous event and now starts from Gate 3. She will face direct competition from Inna Fatahna T.A of Central Java in Gate 4, a young horse regarded as one of the brightest prospects of the 2025 season.
Meanwhile, Red Minister, starting from Gate 1, will look to capitalize on the inside position to seize an early lead. Don’t overlook Titian Monaco from West Sumatra and Trudy from North Sumatra—two non-Java entries backed by prestigious stables and more than capable of stealing the spotlight.
The Legok Jawa beach track is notoriously heavier than standard dirt courses, meaning this race is not only about raw speed but also about endurance and adaptability. Horses accustomed to coastal training may hold an advantage—but in racing, nothing is ever guaranteed.
Over 1,200 decisive meters, this is not just a contest of who is fastest, but who is most prepared to conquer the unique challenges of Legok Jawa. And perhaps, from this very race, a new star will emerge—one who could rise to shine in the Indonesia Derby 2026.
