SARGA.CO – Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono (HB) X 2025 officially kicked off at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track, Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Horses competing in Classes I/J and H opened the prestigious championship, which offers a total prize pool of IDR 1 billion.
As the final event in the IHR “The Rise of Racing Stars” series, the competition began with the Class I/J – 1,000-meter race, contesting the Arsari Tambang Cup with a total prize of IDR 10 million.
Twelve horses with heights between 127–130 cm from East Java, West Java, and Central Java took part in this class.
The race was fierce right from the start as the 12-horse starting gate burst open. Ratu Sabrang and Benara Harlyn quickly took the lead, pulling ahead of the rest of the pack.
Meanwhile, Orferve and Power Ranger, positioned on the outer track, maneuvered their way out of the crowded second group, strategizing their chase.
Benara Harlyn’s dominance continued until the final 200 meters, but Power Ranger began to surge forward with increasing momentum.
Displaying incredible stamina, Power Ranger overtook Benara Harlyn and left Ratu Sabrang behind.
As the finish line approached, Power Ranger seized the lead and crossed first, claiming victory in the opening race of IHR Piala Raja HB X 2025.
Winners of Class I/J – 1,000 M (Arsari Tambang Cup, IDR 10 million):
1st Place: Power Ranger (East Java – Cahaya Mulya Stable)
2nd Place: Ratu Sabrang (East Java – DNA Stable)
3rd Place: Benara Harlyn (Central Java – Brotoseno Stable)
An equally thrilling show unfolded in Race II – Class H (1,000 meters). Out of twelve competing horses, Falling in Love proved herself a true strong finisher, claiming first place despite starting from the back of the pack.
This race, vying for the Vitalong C Cup with a total prize of IDR 10 million, featured five regional contingents from Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta.
When the gate opened, Falling in Love struggled to get a clean start, allowing Opera O, Ranting Bersemi, and Jupe to take early command.
Starting from the last position, Falling in Love steadily advanced from the outer track. With her remarkable speed and strength, the two-year-old red filly (134 cm) began overtaking the middle group with ease.
At the turning point, the daughter of Minahasa Eclipse (sire) and Sri Jaya (dam) challenged the leader Opera O. Jockey Agung Saidil Adha executed a perfect push, driving Falling in Love past Opera O to take the lead.
After a less-than-perfect start, Falling in Love dominated the final 200 meters, pulling far ahead of her rivals to secure a decisive victory.
1st Place: Falling in Love (Jakarta – Maju Jaya Stable)
2nd Place: Opera O (West Java – Van Doeloer Stable)
3rd Place: Athe AJ (Central Java – AMA Jaya Stable)
