SARGA.CO – The roar of the crowd reached its peak at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, October 19, 2025. The thunderous rhythm of 11 galloping horses echoed across the 1,000-meter track — no one willing to surrender even an inch.
This was Race X: Class D Sprint – 1,000 meters, part of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) National Championship – PORDASI 59th Series II 2025, and it turned out to be one of the most intense, nerve-wracking showdowns of the day.
Amidst the fierce competition, one name rose above the rest in the most dramatic fashion — Ravelio, the powerful stallion from Batu Kreta Stable (DK Jakarta).
Ravelio didn’t have the smoothest start. As soon as the gates opened, the front runner was slightly late to break out, boxed in by a cluster of horses that immediately surged ahead. But that’s what makes Ravelio special — his strength isn’t in his start, but in his comeback.
Within seconds, jockey Ended Rahmad guided him toward the outer lane, searching for space among the stampede. Gradually, the muscular bay horse pushed through the pack, climbing into the leading group alongside Putri Jelita, Better Sweet, and Gold Princess.
Tension peaked as the race entered its last 200 meters. Putri Jelita, who had led from the start, began to lose momentum — her position swiftly taken by Ravelio. But from the outer side came Better Sweet from Cahaya Bulan Stable (East Java), charging hard under a flurry of whip strikes.
The two horses ran side by side, neck and neck as the white finish line drew closer. The crowd roared — every second felt suspended in midair. In the final moment, Ravelio lifted his head, stretched his stride, and edged out Better Sweet by the slimmest of margins!
