SARGA.CO — Roars from 8,500 spectators erupted at Sultan Agung Stadium (SSA), Bantul, last Sunday as Naga Sembilan unleashed its full power in a breathtaking display of speed and strategy.
The pride of DKI Jakarta, Naga Sembilan truly lived up to its name—charging from behind like a dragon awakened, snatching victory in Race XVII of the Open Class 2,000 meters at the prestigious Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup (IHR Cup) 2025.
From the start, Naga Sembilan stayed cool in fourth position, as if waiting for the perfect moment. Then, in the final corner, the crimson dragon of Red Stone Stable, owned by Raihanah Bagus, let out its metaphorical roar.
With explosive power, Naga Sembilan charged ferociously, overtaking one rival after another in a dramatic sprint to the finish line.
“Naga Sembilan is a true closer. When the momentum hits, there’s no stopping his speed,”
said Raihanah proudly after the race.
Guided by a jockey with impeccable race instincts, Naga Sembilan outpaced Guti Spirit (from Billion 99 Stable, Yogyakarta), who had to settle for second place, followed by Triple SS with Noel Sion (Shella Saukia Stable, Jakarta) in third.
This victory not only affirmed Naga Sembilan’s dominance on the track, but also sent a strong message ahead of next month’s national derby.
“Last year, Naga Sembilan finished as runner-up in the derby. This year, we’re coming for the crown!”
Raihanah declared with fierce determination.
