SARGA.CO – Amid the roaring cheers at the Sultan Agung Racecourse, Bantul, Yogyakarta, one name stood out in the 2-Year-Old Novice C/D 1,200-meter class of the IHR–Indonesia Derby 2025: Kana Eclipse. The chestnut filly didn’t just win—she dominated from start to finish, sending a clear signal that she is no ordinary horse. She is a rising star.
Racing under the banner of Eclipse Stable (Central Java), Kana Eclipse is the product of a stellar bloodline: Minahasa Eclipse x Katty Eclipse—both well-known names in Indonesia’s racing scene. With champion blood coursing through her veins and expert training behind her, Kana Eclipse didn’t come just to participate—she came to shake things up.
Starting from gate 11, a wide position often seen as a disadvantage, Kana Eclipse burst forward at the start. It didn’t take long before she claimed the front-runner position, leaving her rivals scrambling to find their pace.
Though closely shadowed by Red Rice KC (Hawa SSC Parrona) and Jacky Boy (Aragon Stable), Kana Eclipse remained unfazed. Even as Caroline Nusantara (Adara Stable) surged from the outside and Shogun Eclipse began pressing from behind with 400 meters to go, Kana Eclipse—ridden by jockey Meikel Soleran—stayed calm, focused, and firmly in control.
As the finish line approached, Kana Eclipse kicked into an even higher gear. With confident strides and a consistent tempo, she crossed the finish line well ahead of the pack.
At just 2 years old, Kana Eclipse's performance revealed a lot: natural speed, strong race control, and promising physical strength. Observers praised not only the result but also her running style—efficient, aggressive, and typical of a long-term champion in the making.
This podium finish might be just the beginning, but Kana Eclipse has already made one thing clear: she’s ready to enter the radar of Indonesia’s top racehorses of the future.
Marking the national energy company’s commitment to supporting the growth of equestrian sports in the country.
