Showdown of the Best Young Horses on the 1,400-Meter Track: Suntora Nagari and Menteng Minister Favored, Challengers Ready to Surprise

SARGA.CO – The Indonesia Horse Racing (IHR) National Championship PORDASI 59th Series II is set to heat up even more on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Sultan Agung Racecourse, Yogyakarta, with the highly anticipated 3-Year-Old Derby Division I – 1,400-Meter Race, featuring a total prize of Rp40 million.

A total of 12 young horses have officially drawn their gates and are ready to battle for supremacy over 1,400 meters. From Central Java, two strong contenders emerge — Tokugawa Eclipse (gate 5) and Nara Eclipse (gate 3) — both expected to make a strong statement on the track.

Meanwhile, other promising competitors from across Indonesia will also line up, including P Bintang Sakti (South Kalimantan, gate 6), Suntora Nagari (North Sulawesi, gate 4), Cassius Warrior (East Java, gate 8), Menteng Minister (Jakarta, gate 1), and My Dream (West Sumatra, gate 2).

Two names stand out as the clear favorites in this class — Suntora Nagari and Menteng Minister.

Suntora Nagari, runner-up in the 3-Year-Old Pre-Derby 1,400m Class at the IHR Merdeka Cup 2025, is widely expected to deliver another powerful performance.

On the other hand, Menteng Minister, who finished third in the 3-Year-Old KPI 1,200m Class at the same event, remains a strong candidate to claim victory this time around.

The upcoming race promises fierce competition as top jockeys and horses from various provinces fight to outpace each other and etch their names into the record books.

With a Rp40 million prize on the line, motivation will be sky-high — and every stride, turn, and final push to the finish could make the difference between triumph and heartbreak.

Will Suntora Nagari finally seize the crown?

Can Menteng Minister prove his class and dominate from the front?

Or will one of the challengers — like Tokugawa Eclipse or Cassius Warrior — steal the spotlight and deliver an upset?

All answers will unfold this Sunday at Sultan Agung Racecourse. Don’t miss the thrilling action featuring Indonesia’s best young horses and jockeys!
