SARGA.CO – The 2025 Indonesia Derby is heating up, and the final hasn’t even begun. The preliminary round for the 3-year-old 2,000-meter class, held at Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track (SSA), Bantul, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, delivered a major twist: King Argentine, the favorite from Heat 2, had to concede the fastest overall time to Princess Gavi, who dominated Heat 1.
Renowned for his stamina and consistent racing style, King Argentine clocked the fastest time in Heat 2 at 2 minutes 20.43 seconds. But that wasn’t enough to beat Princess Gavi, who soared to 2 minutes 19.08 seconds, making her the fastest horse across both heats.
Tight and Intense from the Start
This year’s Derby preliminary was split into two heats, with the 12 fastest times overall qualifying for the final. The competition was fierce—time gaps between top finishers were measured in mere fractions of seconds.
