SARGA.CO – Although more than two weeks have passed, King Argentine’s thrilling victory in the second leg of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing Triple Crown 2025 remains fresh in the minds of racing fans.
The dark horse from King Halim Stable not only claimed his second win in the series but also reignited hope for a Triple Crown champion — a title that has long eluded contenders in the local racing scene.
Since his triumphant run at Tegalwaton Racecourse in Semarang, racing fans across Indonesia have been buzzing with anticipation: could King Argentine be the one to end the Triple Crown drought?
And rightly so. Hearts were pounding across the stands as King Argentine fought tooth and hoof for the win in IHR – Triple Crown Series 2.
Though he was the first to cross the finish line, the victory was anything but easy. Challenged relentlessly by Wonderland and Naura Ayu, both horses stuck to his flank for nearly the entire race, never giving him room to breathe.
Wonderland with jockey Trully Pantow even made King Argentine struggle to advance in the front row. Since the starting gate opened, Wonderland was attached to King Argentine from the right side with a distance of only half the horse's body.
In the final 100 meters, the jockey shifted tactics, pulling Wonderland closer to the rail and pushing for an inside lane challenge, keeping the race tense until the victory flag was finally waved.
Naura Ayu was no less fierce. With jockey Bramantio Turangan in the saddle, the mare from Amigo Stable (owned by Bambang K. Istanto) launched a determined charge from mid-pack.
Fueled by tenacity, horse and rider surged past King Midas and Centauri, overtaking their positions one by one.
In the final stretch, Naura Ayu pulled away from the chasing pack, securing third place by a full horse length.

With the third and final leg of the Triple Crown series approaching at Sultan Agung Racecourse in Bantul, Yogyakarta, this July, the big question remains:
