

SARGA.CO – While champion horses often take the spotlight, it was the jockeys Meikel Soleran and Trully Pantouw who emerged as the true stars of the IHR-Indonesia Derby 2025, held on July 27 at Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul, Yogyakarta.
With four podium finishes each, the duo stood out among 54 jockeys competing in Indonesia’s most prestigious horse racing event, confirming their elite status in the sport.
The IHR-Indonesia Derby 2025 brought together 156 of the nation’s finest racehorses, with 54 horses securing podium finishes across 18 races. With Rp1.2 billion in total prize money, the event set a new benchmark for the sport in Indonesia. Provincial representation was led by Central Java (12 podiums), followed by East Java (11) and Jakarta (9), confirming the strength of equestrian talent in these regions.

Of the 18 contested races, three stood out as the crown jewels:
3-Year-Old Derby – 2,000 M (Rp300 million)
Winner: King Argentine (West Java)
Also clinched the 2025 Indonesia Triple Crown
3-Year-Old Juvenile – 1,600 M (Rp150 million)
Winner: Caraxes Nagari (North Sulawesi)
2-Year-Old Novice A/B – 1,400 M (Rp150 million)
Winner: Maxi of Khalim (West Java)
