SARGA.CO – The racetrack at Sultan Agung Horse Racing Field, Bantul, Yogyakarta (DIY), is set to heat up once again on Sunday, October 19, 2025, as 12 of the finest horses from various provinces prepare to clash in the Class C 1,600-Meter Race, one of the most anticipated events in the Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Pordasi 59th National Championship Series II.
This class is not just about speed—it’s a test of stamina, strategy, and consistency. On a mid-distance track like the 1,600 meters, both jockey and horse must read the rhythm of the race carefully. Start too fast, and they risk running out of breath; too slow, and they’ll lose momentum.
Line-up – Class C 1,600 Meters:
Five names have drawn the public’s attention and are considered strong contenders for the podium: Yuwaraja (West Java), Royal Dinasty (West Java), Lamarun Winning (East Kalimantan), Syam Wakas (West Sumatra), and Lucynero (Central Java). However, the remaining seven horses should not be underestimated—they’re all capable of delivering surprises.
Who Will Dominate the 1,600-Meter Track?
With all 12 gates filled, the Class C 1,600-Meter Race promises to be a strategic showdown among the best stables from Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Sumatra. There’s no room for error—just one second of hesitation can mean the difference between victory and obscurity.
Trainers must fully understand the unique characteristics of the Bantul track, while jockeys must stay alert to the race dynamics—especially at the final corner, which often decides the winner.
