SARGA.CO – In just one hour, one of the most highly anticipated horse racing events in Indonesia will kick off at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Arena (SSA) in Bantul, DI Yogyakarta. The Indonesia Horse Racing Cup (IHR) – Indonesia Derby 2025, held on Sunday, 27 July 2025, will start around 08:30 AM WIB and feature the finest racehorses in the country.
Organized by SARGA.CO, Indonesia’s first and only professional horse racing promoter, in collaboration with PP PORDASI, the event will see 156 of the nation’s top racehorses from 13 provinces competing across 18 race classes.
“The IHR-Indonesia Derby is one of the most prestigious and largest championships on the IHR 2025 calendar,” said Aseanto Oudang, CEO & Co-Founder of SARGA.CO, in an official statement.
Race Classes
The event will feature the following 18 classes: 3-Year-Old Derby – 2,000m. 3-Year-Old Juvenile – 1,600m. 2-Year-Old Beginner A/B – 1,400m. 2-Year-Old Beginner C/D – 1,200m. 4-Year-Old A/B – 2,000m. 4-Year-Old C/D – 1,600m. 2-Year-Old Indonesian THB – 1,400m. 3-Year-Old & Up Indonesian THB – 1,600m. Open Class A – 2,000m. Open Sprint Class A – 1,300m. Class C – 1,300m. Class D – 1,200m. Class E – 1,200m. Class F – 1,000m. Non-Finalist Derby – 2,000m. Non-Finalist Juvenile – 1,600m. Non-Finalist Beginner C/D – 1,200m. Non-Finalist Beginner A/B – 1,400m.
Three main race classes will steal the spotlight: 3-Year-Old Derby – 2,000m (Prize: Rp300 million). 3-Year-Old Juvenile – 1,600m (Prize: Rp150 million). 2-Year-Old Beginner A/B – 1,400m (Prize: Rp150 million).
In the Derby 2,000m class, King Argentine will face top rivals, including: Wonderland (DKI Jakarta) – runner-up in Triple Crown Series 1 & 2. Sidney Allstar (North Sulawesi) – winner of the 1,850m Calon Derby at IHR Cup 2025. Manik Siwa (West Java) – winner of the 1,600m Derby at Jateng Derby 2025.
