SARGA.CO – Black Dynamite, a sleek black colt from Padang, pulled off a dramatic victory in Race IX, Class E, 1,200 meters at the Indonesia Horse Racing (IHR) Cup II 2025. In the midst of fierce competition, Black Dynamite proved himself a true strong finisher, storming past his rivals in the final 200 meters to claim the prestigious Pertamina Cup, with a total prize of IDR 45 million.
The heated race featured six top contenders from West Sumatra: Narasaki and Benazira (Payakumbuh), Black Dynamite and Putra Nanggalo (Padang), Kitara Celsy (Pariaman), and Lady Antik II (Bukittinggi).
Right from the start, Kitara Celsy charged aggressively to take the lead. Close behind, Benazira and Putra Nanggalo kept pressing, searching for an opening to overtake. The battle grew even tighter at the bend, with Narasaki making a move from the outside while Benazira pushed hard on the inside track.
But everything changed in the final 200 meters. At that decisive moment, Black Dynamite—who had stayed out of the spotlight for most of the race—erupted with explosive speed. Guided by his experienced jockey, he surged past horse after horse, sprinting to the finish line and leaving his exhausted rivals trailing behind.
This victory was all the more special thanks to a clever strategy: conserving energy until the decisive moment. The three-year-old colt, standing 155 cm tall and representing Dynamite Stable, proved his class with both stamina and technical maturity.
