SARGA.CO – The crowd erupted as Kana Eclipse, the red filly pride of Eclipse Stable, showcased her class in Race X of the 3-Year-Old Junior Division I at Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono X 2025, held at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track in Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
From the moment the starting gate opened, the presence of a future queen of the track was undeniable. Under the skillful hands of jockey Meikel Soleran, Kana Eclipse immediately seized the lead and never truly allowed any of her rivals to get close.
The race for the JHL Cup, with a total prize of Rp80 million, brought together six of the best young horses from various regions: Kana Eclipse (Central Java), Kimberly (East Java), Red Ricee KC (North Sumatra), P. Putri Borneo (South Kalimantan), Shangrila (East Java), and Rajadewi (West Java).
Kana Eclipse blasted ahead, taking the lead from the very first meter. Trailing closely in second and third were P. Putri Borneo and Kimberly, but neither could match the blistering pace set by Kana Eclipse.
The only real threat came from Shangrila, who attempted an outside attack approaching the final turn. The maneuver briefly raised tension, but Shangrila’s performance weakened just as the critical turn demanded full strength. Kana Eclipse made perfect use of that moment.
With championship bloodlines—sired by Minahasa Eclipse and out of Katty Eclipse—Kana Eclipse looked exceptionally polished as a future top contender. When jockey Meikel Soleran delivered a single whip cue, her speed only exploded further.
