SARGA.CO – The Aragon Merdeka Master 2025 Presidential Cup was successfully held at The Hub Indonesia Equestrian Venue, Jakasampurna, Bekasi, West Java, from August 6–10, 2025.
Featuring 396 horses, 1,751 competition entries, and 30 teams or stables from across Indonesia, the championship—featuring Dressage and Show Jumping—set a new record in Indonesian equestrian history for the largest number of participants.
In his opening remarks, Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo, Chairman of the Indonesian Equestrian Federation (PP PORDASI), emphasized the need for innovation in developing the sport nationally, one of which is introducing night competitions.
This initiative takes inspiration from Middle Eastern countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, which have successfully hosted international equestrian events under the lights.
Due to the overwhelming number of participants, several show jumping classes with heights of 100 cm and above were held at night. The final day’s competitions even extended into the early morning hours. Thanks to high-quality lighting, all events ran smoothly without incident.
said PP PORDASI Chairman Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo.
According to Aryo, this event reflects the Indonesian government’s efforts—through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) in collaboration with PP PORDASI—to transform equestrian championships into “sportainment” attractions and tourist destinations.
said Minister Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo.
With such high participation, the Minister added, this championship has strong potential to serve as a training ground for athletes preparing for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand and the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and collaborating with PP PORDASI in future equestrian events.
In the Aragon Merdeka Master 2025 Presidential Cup, Nareswari Shifa Kayana of Akara Stable won the Dressage Presidential Cup title. In Show Jumping, the Presidential Cup went to DNV Equestrian’s Nusrtdinov Zayan Fatih.
For the 100 cm Jumping class—the final event of the championship, with the grand prize of a car—Teuku Rifat Renanda Harsya of Equinara Horse Sports emerged victorious after a thrilling contest.
