SARGA.CO – Size isn’t everything in the world of horse racing. Kasmaran, a four-year-old jragem mare standing only 140.5 cm tall, proved that speed and fighting spirit can overcome any physical difference.
In Race IX: Class F – 1,000 meters, competing for the Arsari Tambang Cup with a total prize of Rp20 million, Kasmaran delivered a stunning performance. The race, part of Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) National Championship – PORDASI 59th Series II 2025, held at Sultan Agung Racecourse, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, featured 11 of the best horses from across the country — but only one remained truly untouchable: Kasmaran from Adem Ayem Stable (South Kalimantan).
From the moment the starting gates opened, Kasmaran showed the heart of a champion. The petite mare, sired by Leonardo Eclipse out of Princess Ambun, burst forward, instantly leaving her rivals behind.
From the saddle, jockey Agung Saidil kept a calm rhythm, knowing exactly when to let Kasmaran unleash her power.
Behind her, top contenders like Belladona, Hercules, King Ghazi, and P. Bintang Junior battled fiercely just to narrow the gap. But Kasmaran’s dominance only grew — the distance between her and the pack widening with every turn.
In the final 200 meters, while other jockeys began to strike their mounts, Agung Saidil remained composed. He gave only a light nudge — and Kasmaran responded with a breathtaking burst of acceleration.
Without a single whip, the tiny mare maintained her blistering pace, charging far ahead to the finish line — a display of strength, speed, and composure rarely seen in a horse her size.
While Kasmaran remained untouchable at the front, the chase for second and third place heated up. Belladona from Nona Cindy Stable (East Java) surged late to claim second place, overtaking King Ghazi from Munggaran Stable (West Java), who settled for third.
But all eyes that day were fixed on Kasmaran — the little champion with the biggest heart.
