

SARGA.CO - The cheers of 36,000 spectators resounded at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, as the 2025 IHR-Indonesia Derby was successfully held on July 27, 2025. This prestigious event featured 156 of the best racehorses and 54 jockeys from across Indonesia. Fifty-four horses reached the podium and won a total prize pool of Rp1.2 billion. Central Java, East Java, and Jakarta were the provinces with the most podium finishes, with 12, 11, and 9 horses, respectively.
Among the stables, King Halim Stable (West Java) led with 6 victories, followed closely by Eclipse Stable (Central Java) with 5, and Tombo Ati Stable (Central Java) with 4.
Meikel Soleran and Trully Pantouw both reached the podium four times, showcasing exceptional skill, precision, and mental grit across multiple races.

Of the 18 races contested, the three most prestigious were the Class 3-Year-Old Derby 2,000 meters, the Class 3-Year-Old Juvenile 1,600 meters, and the Class 2-Year-Old Novice A/B 1,400 meters, each with a prize pool of Rp 300 million, Rp 150 million, and Rp 150 million, respectively.
In the Class 3-Year-Old Derby 2,000 meters, King Argentin emerged victorious, earning the Triple Crown, a symbol of horse racing supremacy, awarded to a 3-year-old racehorse that wins three major championships in the same season or year.
The Class 3-Year-Old Juvenile 1,600 meters was won by Caraxes Nagari from North Sulawesi, while the Class 2-Year-Old Novice A/B 1,400 meters was won by Maxi of Khalim from West Java.
Meanwhile, Aryo Djojohadikusumo, Chairman of the Indonesian Equestrian Federation (PP PORDASI), praised the flawless execution of the event.
