SARGA.CO – PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) has become a sponsor of Indonesia’s most prestigious horse racing event, Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) 2025. This support marks an important step in strengthening the development of equestrian sports in Indonesia, which is currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity, especially among young people.
JAPFA Director Rachmat Indrajaya said that the company’s involvement was driven by the rapidly growing public interest in equestrian sports.
“We see that public enthusiasm for equestrian sports has increased tremendously. Young people are also starting to like it more. That’s why we feel JAPFA needs to be present to offer support,” said Rachmat.
He emphasized that JAPFA is not just a seasonal sponsor, but is committed to continuously supporting horse racing so that it becomes more widely known and more attractive to the public.
“We will continue to support horse racing, so that the public becomes more familiar with and more interested in this sport,” he added.
IHR 2025, titled “The Race of Rising Stars,” is being held in four provinces—Central Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, West Java, and West Sumatra—with a total of 9 championships taking place from February to November 2025 (excluding March).
Some of the major achievements during IHR 2025 include:
Total prize money of nearly IDR 6 billion
An average of 130 racehorses competing in each series
More than 250,000 visitors across 9 IHR events and 4 SARGA Festival events
IHR 2025 has also made history by producing Indonesia’s third Triple Crown winner, King Argentin from West Java, who conquered the 3-Year-Old Derby Class by winning IHR Triple Crown Series 1, IHR Triple Crown Series 2, and the 2025 IHR Indonesia Derby.
JAPFA’s support brings new energy to Indonesia’s horse racing ecosystem. As a major company deeply rooted in livestock and agribusiness, JAPFA’s presence brings hope for increased professionalism in event organization, improved racehorse quality, the expansion of supporting infrastructure, and growing interest among the younger generation in equestrian sports.
