SARGA.CO – Top contenders showcased their power and dominance in Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono (HB) X 2025, held at Sultan Agung Racecourse, Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
In the seventh and eighth races, leading horses in each class maintained their dominance, though not without fierce competition.
One of the most intense races came in Race VII: Class C Sprint (1,100 meters), competing for the Sarga Cup with a total prize of Rp50 million. Eight horses from six provinces took part, including favorites Dragon, Wulan Nuangan, and P. Hajar, followed by Citra Berjaya, Citra Laksmi, King R.S (formerly Aero Santana), Alea MD, and Canterella 42.
Before the race began, there were jockey changes: Wulan Nuangan was ridden by Jones Paendong (replacing Fajar Walangitan), and Citra Berjaya was ridden by Ended Rahmat (replacing Geni F. Young).
From the start, the race was tight, with the pack running closely together. The leaders began to emerge when Alea MD and Dragon broke ahead, followed by Canterella 42.
In the final 100 meters, the battle intensified among Dragon, Wulan Nuangan, and Citra Berjaya, who overtook P. Hajar for the third spot. Showing a powerful finish, Dragon surged forward to claim victory, narrowly beating Citra Berjaya and Wulan Nuangan by a slim margin.

2nd Place: Citra Berjaya – Jakarta (Aisyah Stable)
3rd Place: Wulan Nuangan – North Sulawesi (Miranda Stable)
The next race, Race VIII: Class E – 1,200 meters, contested the Le Minerale Cup with a total prize of Rp40 million and featured well-known names like P. Super Montong (formerly Predator Istana), Artemis, Sienna, Liverpool T.A., Kembang Ilalang, and Red Zigen.
With jockey Salman Farid, P. Super Montong immediately took the lead from the start, followed closely by Liverpool T.A. and Sienna, while veteran horse Artemis settled in fourth.
After several hundred meters, Sienna, Artemis, and P. Super Montong engaged in a close duel, exchanging positions at the 400-meter mark.
The three ran side by side in the final stretch, but P. Super Montong maintained his momentum and crossed the finish line first, just half a horse-length ahead of Artemis, with Sienna finishing third.
