SARGA.CO – The racehorse Flamboyan from Nona Cindy Stable showcased its remarkable speed once again, securing another victory in the final series of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) 2025 Championship.
Competing in Class C – 1,600 meters, the horse formerly known as Krispatih returned to the top podium at the IHR Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono (HB) X 2025, held at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track, Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
This win marks another sweet achievement for Flamboyan at the close of the 2025 racing season, following its earlier victory in the same Class C – 1,600 meters at the IHR National Championship (Pordasi) Series II 2025, held two weeks ago.
The race, competing for the Pertamina Cup with a total prize of IDR 50 million, featured seven horses from five regions: Central Java, North Sulawesi, East Java, South Kalimantan, and Central Java.
Other competing horses included Lucynero, MS Queen, Samurai P, Sapu Jagat, Beauty Habibah, and P. Putra Barbara.
Flamboyan’s victory came from a well-calculated strategy. The 154 cm-tall dark bay stallion began the race from the third gate position. The early lead was taken by P. Sapu Jagat, followed closely by Lucynero, with Flamboyan maintaining third place.
Although P. Sapu Jagat held the lead for half the distance, its pace began to slow as Lucynero started to challenge at the 800-meter mark.
A thrilling side-by-side duel ensued, with Lucynero from Speed Up Stable taking the front position.
The real threat came when Flamboyan began closing in at the 200-meter point, overtaking the tiring P. Sapu Jagat.
Entering the final turn, Lucynero was still leading. Still, its position grew precarious as jockey Angel Manarisip made a bold tactical move—guiding Flamboyan to the outer track to unleash its full speed.
The strategy paid off brilliantly. The stallion—born from sire Belantara and dam Princess Northiar—gradually matched and then overtook Lucynero’s pace.
With a final burst of speed and a few strong whip drives from Angel, Flamboyan left Lucynero far behind, securing a decisive back-to-back victory.
1st Place: Flamboyan (East Java) – Nona Cindy Stable
2nd Place: Lucynero (Central Java) – Speed Up Stable
3rd Place: P. Putra Barbara (South Kalimantan) – BHM Stable
