SARGA.CO – The main class of Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) National Championship, Pordasi 59th Series II 202,5 opened with two thrilling races dominated by the speed and stamina of the tiny Kasmaran and Ravelio.
Despite standing only 140.5 cm tall, Kasmaran, a 4-year-old bay mare, ruled Race IX: Class F – 1,000 meters, winning the Arsari Tambang Cup with a total prize of Rp20 million.
Meanwhile, Ravelio, who had been predicted to win, had to push to the limit to defeat his formidable rivals in what was dubbed the “Hell Match.”
In Race IX, featuring 11 competing horses, Kasmaran faced several strong contenders, including Belladona, Hercules, King Ghazi, and P Bintang Junior.
The dominance of Kasmaran, the offspring of Leonardo Eclipse and Princess Ambun, was evident from the start. With a perfect break from the gate, Kasmaran immediately bolted ahead, separating herself from the chasing pack.
Trailing behind were Ayumi Sharayu from Satrio Anom Stable and P Bintang Junior, ridden by jockey Risky Rorim-Pandey.
The small but mighty Kasmaran maintained a wide lead as her rivals battled fiercely for second and third positions. Her advantage seemed unassailable even as the jockeys behind urged their horses to accelerate in the final 100 meters.
Jockey Agung Saidil, already comfortably in front, didn’t need to use the whip—only giving a light push to help Kasmaran sprint faster toward the finish line.
Meanwhile, in the chasing group, the race for second tightened as Belladona made a late surge to claim the runner-up spot.
1st Place: Kasmaran – South Kalimantan, Adem Ayem Stable
2nd Place: Belladona – East Java, Nona Cindy Stable
3rd Place: King Ghazi – West Java, Munggaran Stable
Fierce competition unfolded in Race X: Class D Sprint – 1,000 meters, where horses battled for the Le Minerale Cup with a total prize of Rp30 million. This “Hell Match” featured top-class competitors such as Queen Musangking, Shangrila, Ravelio, and Better Sweet.

Also joining the lineup were familiar names like Bosch from Dago Stable, making his return to racing, and newcomer Palito Minang competing in this 1,000-meter sprint.
The race lived up to its reputation, delivering a thrilling spectacle until the very end, as all 11 horses galloped in a tight pack right up to the finish line.
When the gates opened, Putri Jelita immediately took the lead, followed closely by Better Sweet, P Musang King, and Beauty Generation, all vying for the front.
At the 1,000-meter mark, Putri Jelita was still strong in front, but pressure mounted from the outside as Gold Princess and Ravelio began closing in.
For several hundred meters, the tightly packed field continued to contest the lead, which eventually shifted to Ravelio and Better Sweet. Putri Jelita’s early dominance faded as the race neared its climax.
At the start, Ravelio—known for being a front-runner—struggled to break cleanly from the gate but quickly recovered, finding rhythm on the outside track to join the leading group.
A fierce side-by-side duel unfolded between Ravelio and Better Sweet in the final stretch. From the outer lane, Better Sweet made a bold attempt to overtake, but Ravelio’s pace proved too strong.
In the end, Ravelio crossed the finish line first, securing victory by a narrow margin.
1st Place: Ravelio – Jakarta, Batu Kreta Stable
2nd Place: Better Sweet – East Java, Cahaya Bulan Stable
3rd Place: Gold Princess – West Java, Aragon Stable
