SARGA.CO – The opening two races of Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Pordasi 59th National Championship Series II 2025, held at Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track, Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, brought mixed results for King Halim Stable.
Prince Loupan fell short of expectations in the Class G – 1,000 meters, after a poor start forced him to settle for third place, while Lady Arion triumphed in the 3-Year-Old Debut Class – 1,200 meters, securing a hard-fought victory in an intense duel.
Competing in Race II, which contested the MyRepublic Cup with a total prize of IDR 10 million, Prince Loupan had to launch from the back of the pack after a shaky start left him trailing six other horses.
The race was initially led by Nagoya MD from MD Stable, closely shadowed by Bless Virginia, while Dicaprio held third. Behind them, Arbain Star from the Central Java (Jateng) IAR Team followed in fourth place.
Despite the early setback, Prince Loupan displayed his strength and determination by charging up from the inside rail to join the leading group.
At the front, a fierce battle unfolded between Arbain Star and Bless Virginia for the lead. Ultimately, Bless Virginia, owned by Sheila Putri Mahardika from South Kalimantan (Kalsel), surged ahead to claim victory.
1st Place: Bless Virginia – South Kalimantan – BHM Stable
2nd Place; Nagoya MD – East Java – MD Stable
3rd Place: Prince Loupan – West Java – King Halim Stable
Better fortunes came for King Halim Stable in Race III, featuring the 3-Year-Old Debut Class (1,200 meters) — a key step toward future Derby qualification. Eight horses competed in this competitive class.
As the starting lights flashed green, Melody Hosana, Lady Arion, and Lady Wilona burst from the gate perfectly, forming the front pack. Within moments, Lady Arion broke away to seize the lead.
The 3-year-old filly, with graceful strides and a steady pace, held her advantage while being closely pursued by Melody Hosana, both contending for the MyRepublic Cup (total prize: IDR 15 million).
As the race entered its final 100 meters, jockey Agus Widodo urged Melody Hosana forward with the whip in an attempt to overtake Lady Arion. However, the powerful bay filly, sired by Maximilian and out of Lady Aria, held firm to cross the finish line first.
1st Place: Lady Arion – West Java – King Halim Stable
2nd Place: Melody Hosana – East Java – Amigo Stable
3rd Place: P. Super Tembaga – South Kalimantan – BHM Stable
