SARGA.CO – The crowd at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track in Yogyakarta erupted as Flamboyan surged forward in the final seconds, seizing the top podium in Race XV: Class C – 1,600 Meters of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) National Championship Series II 2025, held on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The chestnut stallion from Nona Cindy Stable (East Java) delivered a masterclass in strategy — proving that racing isn’t always about who’s fastest at the start, but who’s patient enough to strike at the perfect moment. With this dazzling victory, Flamboyan claimed the Arsari Tambang Cup and a total prize of Rp40 million.
This Class C race featured 12 of the best horses in competition. From the moment the starting gate opened, Yuwaraja, P. Putra Barbara, and Centauri took an early lead. Meanwhile, Flamboyan stayed composed in the middle of the pack, conserving rhythm and energy.
It proved to be a brilliant call by jockey Jefri Waworuntu. As the frontrunners began to tire in the long stretch, Flamboyan began to unleash his speed. The colt, born of Belantara and Princess Nothiard, steadily closed the gap with powerful, calculated strides.
A Thrilling Duel to the Finish
In the final 300 meters, tension spiked. Flamboyan and P. Putra Barbara went side by side, creating a classic duel between speed and endurance. Yet in a middle-distance race like this, patience is often the true weapon. With a slight nudge from his jockey, Flamboyan surged ahead — gliding past his rival with elegance, as if dancing flamboyantly down the stretch.
The finish line was met with thunderous applause. The victory wasn’t just Flamboyan’s — it was proof that Nona Cindy Stable’s refined race strategy could triumph over raw power.
